Dunbar Arts Trust

Dunbar Arts Trust now has its own website. It has long had a Facebook page, and the new website has a live feed from that. If you want to keep up with what’s happening in the other arts in Dunbar, check the site out.

Seasonal Concert

Dunbar Writers will be joining the Dunbar Community Choir in St Anne’s Church, Dunbar, on 17th December, at 7.30, for the annual concert of songs and poetry. All are welcome. If coming from elsewhere, it’s suggested you park in the Leisure Pool car park, which is only 100 yds away.

Donald McKinney

Co-founder of the Dunbar Writers, Donald McKinney, died peacefully on October 31st, after a short illness. He had moved to Thurso a few years ago, but he stayed in contact with his Dunbar friends. He was a prolific author, and had published several books on Celtic spirituality. I was privileged to publish, under the Calder Wood Press imprint,  a collection of his short stories – Why We Howl At the Moon – in 2008.
