Poets In The Pans, a tapestry of poets

Sunday 3rd June, 1pm to 7pm. Free admission.

21 poets from Craigmillar Writers, Inky Fingers and Tyne & Esk Writers are joining forces to stage a feast of poetry in the Function Room of the Prestoungrange Gothenburg in Prestonpans (a great venue), as part of the 3 Harbours Festival.

Programme:

1pm to 2:30 Readings

A showing of the film on the Prestonpans Tapestry will be presented during the interval.

3pm to 4:30 Poetry Workshop and readings inspired by the Tapestry.

5pm to 7pm Readings

We are now putting together the list of readers, and I am looking for 7 readers from Tyne & Esk. If you’d like to have a 10-minute reading spot, please contact me as soon as possible, and let me know which of the two reading slots you’d like to be included in. Readers from all three groups will feature in each of the slots.

Even if you don’t want to read, you are very welcome to come along to the event. We’re hoping that you will want to come for the whole day and enjoy a varied and stimulating programme of poetry and arts. Food and refreshments are available from the bar, and may be enjoyed in the Function Room. While you’re in Prestonpans you can see some of the other attractions of the Festival.

There will be a sales table for publications, with 25% of the proceeds going to the 3 Harbours Festival, in line with their commission on other art works.
