Dunbar group co-founder Donald McKinney died on 31st October as a result of a brain tumour. He was a young man in otherwise good health. Although he had moved from Dunbar to Thurso a few years back, he still kept in touch with his friends in Dunbar. He was a fine writer, publishing novels and non-fiction books. In 2008 I published a volume of his short stories – Why We Howl At the Moon – and with the agreement of his partner I’m now offering copies at £5 post free (UK only), with all the proceeds going to MacMillan Cancer Care.
